Meet The Founder

David Dumelle

CEO & Founder

Growing up on the shores of Lake Michigan, boating, jet skiing, fishing, and other watersports was an everyday activity throughout summer. Through the years his family has had a number of boats, the last one being a 55’ Sea Ray. Some of his greatest memories are going on boat trips to Mackinaw Island. His first job in high school, he worked at a local full-service marina, he worked his way up from the bottom to working in the sales department. After 4 years at the marina he decided to explore more of the boating and yachting industry. He moved down to Fort Lauderdale alone and started day working and quickly got a job as a mate/engineer on a 74’ Cheoy Lee. They traveled all of the Bahamas for months and it was a fantastic eye opener to what the yachting industry has to offer. Advancing in his career, he started a new job on a 87’ Burger as the mate/engineer, not only a bigger boat but, now he had to take care of the owners fleet, two tenders, a 37’ Intrepid and a classic 1968 31’ Chris Craft. David currently holds a USCG 100 Ton Masters License and is working towards a 200 Ton License.
